Connection

Connection

Connection is the antidote to loneliness. But not all connection is the same. We need to be connected to ourselves before we can really connect with others and the world.

Connection is the commonly prescribed antidote to loneliness. We must simply connect in order to feel part of something larger. Oh, if it was only as simple to do as it is to say! Especially when we have so many commitments all demanding our time. Who has the time?

It's much easier and convenient to connect through social media, or to talk about safe topics like sport, the weather, work and sex, right?

Wrong.

Real connection requires authenticity. We must be ready to be seen and to be heard before we can belong.

Real connection requires us to connect with our authentic selves first, then with those around us and the wider community.

Recognising First Nations peoples and cultures is important to us.
We acknowledge the First Nations people as the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and connections to land, water and community. We pay respect to the Elders of the Ngunnawal, Turrbal, Kulin and Gadigal Nations past and present. Always was, always will be.

We acknowledge Māori as tangata whenua and Treaty of Waitangi partners in Aotearoa New Zealand. We pay respects to Māori as the mana whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand.
